Maybe One Day iPad and Kindle Can Be Used During Takeoff and Landing

According to New York Times , a source said:FAA will issue new regulation, allowing iPad,Kindle and some other electronic reading devices use during takeoff and landing,but mobile phone is still forbidden.

Insiders indicate that FAA may face mounting pressure if allowing passengers use electronic equipment during takeoff and landing.But to forbidding the practice,they must offer scientific evidence to support this act.

Before that,FAA fixed that iPad,Kindle and the like electronic equipment have to be turned off, even the flight mode cannot be used during takeoff and landing.However , there is no real evidence prove that these electronic equipment may interference avionic device at present. Even more puzzling,FAA allows users to use electric razors and tape recorder when forbidding iPad,Kindle and the like.However,the emissive power of electric razors and tape recorder is stronger than  iPad and the like.

FAA declined to comment.
